Oratory

Built in 1680 in Via del Comune, it is dedicated to the Blessed Name of Jesus (officiated since 1669). It was completed in 1669, three years before the Contrada and the Popolo del Bruco submitted a formal request to the Archbishop of Siena so that, considering that the Contrada had a company named after Jesus (which had hitherto met in several churches), it was allowed to to build an Oratory having "called Contrada I buy a site in the street known as the Municipality" and "they asked the SS ill.ma for this, and to equip it, with fifty lire a year ..." to which would be added "the limosine that have both actual and promised ... ". But, as the Caterpillar was unable to bear expenses exceeding his strength, he asked the Sisters for help. On May 3, 1667, the goose-owls voted to make a concrete contribution and at the Petrucci furnace they took bricks and transported 81 some, giving them to the smokestackers, so much so that "the whole city remained admired". It is certain that the Church in 1670 was finished and open to worship. A few years later, a house located on the left side of the same street was purchased for 235 shields (January 1684), which would become the first headquarters of the Contrada. The most important pictorial work found in the Oratory is the Madonna della Disciplina Maggiore (or Madonna with Son) by Luca Tommé, from 1370 and is placed on the high altar. The table is housed in a niche painted blue where it is enclosed by a wooden edicule with a golden carving. The precious work came to the Contrada from the Pacciani family who had purchased it from the lay company of the Madonna della Disciplina Maggiore, hence the name of the canvas. Of great value is the ancient 17th century organ purchased by the Contrada del Drago in 1834 when the "tribune of the orchestra" was erected, which still houses the organ. On the right entering we find a bronze monument of 1920, the work of Corsini, which commemorates the fallen of the Contrada in the great war. On the opposite side the fourteenth-century polychrome wooden crucifix attributed to the Master of San Paolo in Rosso, remained for many years on the Porta Ovile. Other important works: a San Bernardino and a Santa Caterina works by Giuseppe Nicola Nasini (early 18th century) and the Adoration of the Magi by Dionisio Montorselli (18th century). Previous oratories:
- Oratory of the Confraternity of Saint Biagio in Pian d'Ovile (17th century).
- Saint Gerardo.

Baptismal font

The Contrada use the ancient fountain of Saint Francesco restored in 1978 by Lorenzo Borgogni. It has got a sculpture by Angelo Canevari representing the legendary leader Barbicone. It is located right in front of the Vicolo degli Orbachi.
